Dear Editor:
What's the most important? Most people say the economy is the number one issue in this election. I label economy my number two concern.
The presidential election is my number one concern. Ask yourself which of the two candidates is more likely to move the country forward. We need leadership. We have none now.
This is a short list in my priority order - economy and jobs, finances, department reduction, less government, open government, foreign affairs, protecting our Constitution and Bill of Rights, national security, immigration, border control, respecting separation of power. This should be a concern for all.
A free country and individual freedom is of utmost importance.
Neither Mitt Romney nor John McCain would have been my choice, but either of the two would have followed President Reagan, Kennedy, Clinton on compromise on the issues to move the country forward, not dictate what we can or cannot do or what we must do.
The president, his administration, his czars have an agenda and will do anything, legal or illegal, to achieve their goal. Look at the past three years - national health care, national security leaks, suits against states to stop their laws to enforce immigration laws and voter fraud.
The administration agenda and dictatorship is not good for this country. If we wish to remain progressive and viable we must replace President Obama and the present senators.
The Senate as a whole has become a united group that only has four concerns, their re-election, their power, their money and their perks. The majority of senators today have no real connections to the rest of U.S. citizens.
Sadly we have only one Senate seat to vote on. Let me give a prediction on what will happen if the Senate stays the same and President Obama is re-elected.
More and more businesses and manufacturers will close or will leave this country, unemployment will continue to increase, our national debt may double, electric cost could double, gas could go to $6 to $8 per gallon, milk could go to $6 to $7 per gallon, a loaf of bread could go to $4 to $5 per loaf and Obmacare will cost tax payers $1.7 trillion in new taxes.
Just give it some thought and how it will effect you as an individual or family.
