Samantha Georgevich wanted a dog. She designed a movie to persuade her parents. Now the sixth-grader has Bentley, a 1-year-old miniature schnauzer.

Using the iMovie computer program she learned to use through Tech Club at Jefferson City's Lewis and Clark Middle School, Georgevich added the adorable photos, fun music and researched information to bring her dream home.

The club formed last semester and now has more than 75 sixth- through eighth-graders signed up.

Georgevich's story is one of many where free and accessible technology has been used to enhance a student's project or a teacher's lesson.
