Missouri to play Central Florida

Next fall in football

The Missouri Tigers have added the University of Central Florida to their 2012 football schedule, according to the UCF website.

The Tigers will play the Knights on Sept. 29 in Orlando, Fla. The Knights, who compete in Conference USA, were 5-7 last season.

Missouri's only other nonconference game scheduled so far is Sept. 15 at home against Arizona State. That leaves Missouri with two games to fill. Possible dates for those two games are Sept. 1, Oct. 20 or Nov. 17.

The Tigers are likely to see a familiar face when they play the Knights. Former Missouri quarterback Tyler Gabbert has transferred to Central Florida, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.
