KC woman charged with taking drugs to prison, assaulting officer

Prosecutors will be in court Friday morning, asking Cole County Associate Circuit Judge Tom Sodergren for an order to compel Sheena C. Clark to give a blood sample.

Clark, 27, Kansas City, remained in the Cole County Jail on Wednesday with no bond.

She was charged Saturday with delivering a controlled substance - marijuana - to a correctional facility, a Class C felony, and with third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, for biting a sheriff's deputy at the Cole County Jail.

If she's convicted of the drug charge, Clark could be sentenced to up to seven years in prison, while the assault charge has a maximum punishment of one year.
