Sometimes, you just know when it's time to say goodbye. Even if there are plenty of reasons telling you to stay.

That was the case for Jefferson City volleyball coach Curt Yaeger, who informed his players after school Wednesday he's going to be stepping down from his post.

The move comes on the heels of the Lady Jays capturing a district title this past season, their first since 2002.

"It's time for me to practice what I preach," Yaeger said. "I've always told my assistant coaches and my players that family comes first, and with my kids being involved in activities, I've been missing a lot of them."
