Falva Core has not slowed down as she got older.

At 95 years old, Core continues to coordinate and actively run the Missouri chapter of Afghans for Angels, which distributes baby blankets to 82 hospitals in the state for parents who have suffered the loss of their infant through miscarriage, stillbirth or sudden infant death syndrome.

Her involvement began seven years ago, when her granddaughter found out about chapters in other states.

"She was at the computer and said, "Grandmother, here's something that you'd be interested in,'" Core said. "It was just something that I gravitated toward."
