After two terms as Callaway County's Eastern District Commissioner, Gabe Craighead will not be seeking re-election this year.
At least one local resident is ready to step into his shoes. Callaway native Bryant Liddle announced Monday he intends to run for the office of Eastern District County Commissioner in the August primary.
Craighead, who is preparing to start his eighth year with the commission, said his decision not to run again was prompted by a desire for change.
