Your Opinion: What Obama doesn't tell us

February 29th, 2012 by Charles W. Schroeder, Westphalia in News

Dear Editor:

Our president has presented his 2013 budget to Congress, $3.8 trillion with a $1.33 trillion deficit, so he has increased our national debt to $17.53 trillion in his four years as president.

The president's State of the Union address and his campaign speeches for the past five years have basically been the same, like a record he plays it over and over. He never really addresses problem issues with a solution.

President Obama is not the only person to blame. We have a do-nothing Senate and that will not change this year because President Obama wants to run against a do-nothing Congress. Solution. Vote out the president and 25 percent of the senators. Wake up USA.

There should be no federal health care nor retirement for elected personal. They need to abide to the same rules, regulations and laws that the average citizens are governed by.

On energy and jobs that President Obama keeps talking about, what he does not tell us is more important than what he tells us.

He stated that he had opened up thousands of acres for drilling for gas and oil. What he did not tell us was the Environmental Protection Agency will not let it happen and he knows this.

Good example, the XL pipe line from Canada to Texas with jobs and energy; he said no.

It recently came to light that the Obama defense department has classified the terrorist massacre of 13 service men and women by Major Nidal Hasan, a Muslim extremist at Fort Hood Texas, as a workplace violence. Hasan was a terrorist pure and simple.

Another cover up and scandal of this administration is known as Operation Fast and Furious. The reckless operation of gun running into Mexico that cost Brian Terry his life. President Obama, attorney Eric Holder, the Justice Department do not want to talk about this operation.

Within a few hours of Brian Terry's death a memo originating from BATFE, was sent to media requesting that they not report on the link between Terry's death and Operation Fast and Furious.

There is no doubt in my mind this operation was from the top of the administration on down through channels. It had to be approved by the top man or at least agreed to.

Our government never told the Mexican government about Operation Fast and Furious. I hope Congress gets to the bottom of this and holds these people accountable.
