A young chapter in an urban setting, the Nichols Career Center FFA spent last week trying to spread awareness about the club's presence and member benefits.

Painting the interior of a River City Habitat for Humanity home closed out National FFA Week with a healthy dose of hands-on volunteerism.

In the past, FFA Week locally has collected funds for local charities and they have an Adopt-A-Highway stretch along U.S. 54.

This was the first time for them to partner with Habitat.

As the public relations leader, junior Dan Haynes said he concentrated on ways to gain attention for the club and to build enthusiasm among members.
