COLUMBIA - With just a seven-man rotation, the big question surrounding the Missouri basketball team this season has been whether or not its lack of depth would become a factor.
For the most part, it hasn't been an issue. But it seemed to finally creep up in Tuesday night's 78-68 loss to Kansas State at Mizzou Arena.
The Tigers fell behind by 16 points in the second half, and their furious comeback fell short as many times Missouri players seemed to be more winded than late in previous games. Kim English and Steve Moore both fouled out, leaving the Tigers with seven scholarship players.
"There's no question I thought we got a little tired the other night," Missouri coach Frank Haith said. "The way the game was played, late in the game I thought we were a little fatigued."
