"Cops on Top' collecting funds for Special Olympics

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. - Police officers, firemen and others climbed on top of the Hy-Vee gas station building at Prewitt's Point Shopping Center on Friday and spent the day collecting donations for Special Olympics Missouri athletes.

The annual "Cops on Top" is a regular lake area event that coincides with the annual Polar Plunge, which brings in a hundreds of Lake of the Ozarks and other Mid-Missouri participants to dive into the freezing waters of Public Beach No. 2 in Lake of the Ozarks State Park.
