Dear Editor:
I would like to thank Beverly Martin for her recent letter to the News Tribune. She quotes from Democrats.org, concerning an explanation of the new Affordable Health Care Act, to alert us to the fact that "starting Aug. 1, most insurance plans will be required to fully cover contraception without co-pays or deductibles as part of women's preventive care."
I certainly agree with her when she says that "No government has the authority to force citizens (Ms. Martin or any other person) to buy, use or sell anything that violates their religious beliefs."
Although birth control may be available free under the new Health Care Law, I fully support Ms. Martin's claim of her constitutional right to not avail herself of this health care, and I feel certain that President Obama does as well.
