Two Mid-Missourians named to commissions

Gov. Jay Nixon has tabbed two Mid-Missourians to serve on state boards, if the state Senate approves their appointments - Kenny Jones and Winston Rutledge.

• Jones, R-Clarksburg, a former Highway Patrol trooper, Moniteau County sheriff and state representative, was named Friday to the state Probation and Parole Board, succeeding Reid Forrester.

• Rutledge would join the Lincoln University Board of Curators, for a term ending Jan. 1, 2016, replacing long-time board member John Parker.
