Your Opinion: 'Fleecing working people' is wrong

Dear Editor:

Regarding the Transformation sales tax increase, there is no possible way the City Council or the Chamber of Commerce can justify inflicting a typical family of four with a $60 tax increase every year for 10 years.

It's just wrong. It's the legend of Robin Hood turned upside down, fleecing working people to buy toys for the rich. Toys the rest of us will never get to play with.

Let the Chamber of Commerce build their own convention center.

Vote no on Feb. 7.
