Lot on the line as No. 4 Missouri hosts No. 8 Kansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The final edition of the Border Showdown at Mizzou Arena (at least for a while) couldn't be filled with more drama.

• Missouri sits a game out of first place in the Big 12, behind Kansas.

• Kansas is angry at Missouri for leaving the Big 12 for the Southeastern Conference, and has said it won't play the Tigers after this year.

• College Gameday is in town for the showdown (8 p.m., ESPN-TV).

The fourth-ranked Tigers prefer not to get caught up in the event that is the rivalry, but instead the magnitude of what a victory on Saturday night could do for the big picture of Missouri's season.
