Jefferson City looks at new after-hours ordinance

The city is considering new ways to regulate businesses that operate "after hours."

At the Jefferson City Public Safety Committee meeting Thursday, Drew Hilpert, interim city counselor, presented the proposed ordinance that would apply to businesses open between 1 and 4 a.m.

Second Ward Councilman Rich Koon said Club Motivation on Industrial Drive, what used to be College Complex, has been one source of problems for the city in the past.
