Former Missouri Tiger and Jefferson City Jay Justin Smith will be inducted into the Missouri Athletics Hall of Fame in February.
Smith, a Holts Summit native, played for the Tigers from 1998-2000. During his junior season he recorded 11 sacks and 24 tackles for loss. He earned All-American honors and was named first-team all-Big 12.
He was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers prior to the 2008 season.
