The tone was set early, the Jefferson City Jays were going to be physical.
It was a winning strategy.
"That's something we've been working on," Jefferson City wrestling coach Phil Cagle said after the Jays defeated the Helias Crusaders 56-12 on Wednesday night at Fleming Fieldhouse. "We work a lot on fundamentals and when you have your fundamentals, that allows you to be more aggressive.
"There was nothing fancy, nothing you have to think about. Just go out there and wrestle. We're pretty happy with our aggressiveness."
