Tigers take familiar road to victory

COLUMBIA, Mo. - In what has become status quo in Mizzou Arena this season, the Missouri basketball team struggled in the first half of its game Saturday.

And in staying with the theme of consistency, the second half was much different.

Missouri led just 23-20 at halftime against Tennessee State, but pulled away in the second half for a 68-38 victory.

"The first half, I thought we played really good defense," Missouri coach Frank Haith said. "I thought offensively we weren't as fluid, a lot of it had to do with our focus wasn't as good in terms of catching the ball. It's just as simple as that."

It was the fifth time this season Missouri has either trailed or led by single digits at halftime and gone on to win.
