Say it isn't so, Lance.
On Thursday, cycling great Lance Armstrong said he was not going to enter arbitration in regard to his alleged use of banned substances during his record seven Tour de France titles run.
That means his Tour titles are stricken from the record books. And the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) doesn't get the opportunity to refute Armstrong in what would be, for all intents and purposes, a court of law.
Also Thursday, Armstrong again denied ever taking any substances. For what hopefully is the last time. Because his denials are getting tiresome.
There are going to be people who will be Armstrong defenders. They will argue all Armstrong did by passing on the opportunity for arbitration was put an end to the witch hunt that has been going on for several years, that he passed every drug test while he was in competition and everybody will remember him as a multiple Tour winner.
