Tipton man gets 10 years on drug charges

A Tipton man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after agreeing to a plea deal in federal court for his part in a methamphetamine distribution ring in Cole and Moniteau counties.

Stephen Trivitt, 29, was sentenced Wednesday.

A co-defendant, Charity Steinbrink, 30, Tipton, has pleaded guilty in the case; she is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday.

Robert Barnett Jr., 46, Tipton, has also pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.

Two other co-defendants in this case were sentenced earlier for their roles in this case. Otho Glenn Fowler Jr., 49, Fortuna, was sentenced to 48 months in federal prison, and Amber McGhay, 28, Latham, was sentenced to four months.
