Business group launches battle against federal regulations

A growing number of small businesses want the government - especially the federal government - to stop issuing regulations that do nothing but hurt the business' chances of doing business.

"We have begun a program called "Small Businesses for Sensible Regulations' made up of, right now, nine states (to) bring the whole issue of business regulatory climate to the forefront," said Brad Jones, Missouri director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

The nine states are Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, Nevada and Missouri.
