Director Rob Crouse has several ways to describe "Avenue Q," a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical just recently made available for local performances - and the Capital City Players' next dinner theater production.
"The best way that I can describe it succinctly is that it's "Sesame Street' for adults," Crouse said. "Instead of living on "Sesame Street,' these people live in a rundown neighborhood called "Avenue Q.'"
It's a neighborhood where humans and puppets interact with each other just as they do on the popular children's TV program - as though all are real - but, in this case, they face adult problems and situations.
