Retired teacher encourages new teachers

One at a time, those items emerged from retired teacher Saundra Allen's bag as she told new teachers how to get ready for the new school year.

That duct tape, she said during a 13-minute speech at the Jefferson City Rotary Club's annual new teacher luncheon, "is not what you think."
