Giving back to the fans

COLUMBIA, Mo. - For much of the season, Missouri football players are confined to a rigid schedule, without much of a chance to interact with the outside world.

But Sunday was a day for the team to give back to its fans.

The Tigers held their 10th annual Fan Day at Faurot Field. It's a chance to for fans to interact with their favorite players. It's a day enjoyed by Tiger fans, especially young ones. But the players enjoy the day just as much as the fans.

An estimated 7,500 fans attended the event.

"It's kind of fun," defensive end Brad Madison said. "We're always cooped-up in practice and in the dorms. It's kind of nice to get out and see people from throughout the community who support you."
