In Italy, they provide filling dinners, and in Brazil, they give warm affection. Host families reflect a nation's culture while a student from another country lives with them.

Matt Roudebush on Wednesday shared his 11-month experience in Cremona, Italy, with the Jefferson City Breakfast Rotary Club, which sponsored him.

Connor Hulett, 17, sat in on the presentation. He will leave for his year in the same town of 60,000 next month, sponsored by the Lake of the Ozarks Rotary Club.
