As this year's March of Dimes Ambassador Family, Kyle Feltrop, along with his sister and parents, took the lead in a rainy walk around Memorial Park at Sunday's March for Babies fundraiser.
Kyle is now a healthy, happy sixth-grader at Immaculate Conception school who enjoys various sports. But 12 years ago, he was a feeble infant who weighed in at 3 pounds 121â„2 ounces when he was born 9-weeks premature.
He and his family credit the March of Dimes for medical advances that helped his treatment at University Hospital in Columbia.
"They (March of Dimes) were there when we needed them most, and Kyle is living proof," Lisa Feltrop, Kyle's mother, told the crowd.
