When Scene One opens its doors at 7 p.m. today, the audience will be in for a shock.

ART, as directed by Tom Baker, is being performed at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday and May 3-5, in a show that displays the often unseen side of male friendships.

ART is a play about the inner workings of the male friendship, as one man purchases a painting that then sends a trio's long-standing friendship into a tailspin.

Baker, who had toyed with the idea of writing a play that explored the male friendship, said he is amazed at Reza's insight and the dead-on dialogue.

Tickets are $10, but are half price for tonight's performance. They can be reserved by calling (573) 681-9199.
