Lincoln softball opens MIAA Tourney play today

While there's still an aura of "Pinch me, I must be dreaming" surrounding it, the Lincoln softball team is definitely in the field for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament.

Now it's time for the Blue Tigers to get refocused and make sure they're in the event for as long as possible.

Lincoln wrapped up its regular-season schedule Saturday thinking the chances were slim they'd make the tournament. But after some other teams failed to take advantage and some tiebreakers fell their way, the Blue Tigers wrapped up the eighth and final spot in the event.
