Mo. heroin distributor sentenced for overdose death

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis man has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for supplying the heroin that killed a woman.

Federal prosecutors say 46-year-old Robert Simmons pleaded guilty in January to distribution of heroin. He was sentenced Monday.

Authorities say Simmons distributed heroin to the woman in December 2010, and her death resulted from using the drug.
