Emporia State downs LU in tennis dual

EMPORIA, Kan. - The Lincoln Blue Tigers won just five games while losing a dual 5-0 at Emporia State on Saturday that was halted after the Hornets won the clinching match.

The Blue Tigers lost all three doubles matches to start. Camila Araujo and Alina Katrevich lost 8-2, Kamaria Braye and Jasmine Daniel lost 8-0 and Victoria Banks and Gabrielle Quinn lost 8-1.

In singles, Quinn and Banks lost by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores to end it.

The Blue Tigers are now 0-9 overall and 0-5 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Lincoln will wrap up its conference schedule Tuesday at Truman State before finishing the year with a pair of non-conference matches.
