Kyler Maxey threw a five-inning no-hitter in his first career start March 29. The Blair Oaks junior topped that performance with a seven-inning no-hitter in his second career start Friday night at Vivion Field, a 4-0 victory over Rockwood-Summit that sent the Falcons into the finals of the Capital City Invitational.

In seven sensational innings, Maxey struck out 11 batters while allowing six baserunners (five walks and a hit batter) in a 120-pitch outing. He never let a batter reach third base.

Earlier on Friday, the Falcons earned a 9-6 victory over Hickman in the first round of the tournament.

Blair Oaks (7-0) faces the winner of the Eureka-Rockhurst game in the championship at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Vivion Field.
