LU baseball team hopes for rebound

The Lincoln baseball team is hoping it can draw some inspiration from the experiences it had just two weeks ago.

Back then, the Blue Tigers suffered through a rough start to a four game-set at Missouri Western, losing two games by a combined 30-4. Lincoln came back strong the next day, dropping a 2-1 decision before capturing a 10-6 win.

The Blue Tigers are hoping history will repeat itself after losing two games Friday to the Central Missouri Mules by a combined 21-3.

"We got our (behinds) kicked against Missouri Western the first day and we came back and really pitched well the second day and stayed in the games. We learned from it," Lincoln coach Jim Dapkus said after Friday's 10-2 and 11-1 losses to Central Missouri at Lincoln Field.
