Before the days of iPads and laptop computers and TVs being available almost anywhere you looked, there was one form of entertainment that all ages enjoyed: radio.
"The 1940s Radio Hour," presented by the Capital City Players, is a musical comedy tribute to the days when the whole family gathered in one room to be entertained by radio programs. This is also a family affair for those putting on the play.
Directors Gail and Frank Bise directed and acted in this play years ago.
"You can bring your 5-year-old to this and they'll be entertained," Frank said. "You can bring your teenager to this and they'll be entertained. You can bring your grandparents and they'll be thrilled."
Performances will take place April 12-15 and 19-22 at Shikles Auditorium, 1200 Linden Drive.
Matinee shows will be on April 15 and 22.
