ST. LOUIS (AP) - A big section of Lambert Airport that had been shut down since a Good Friday tornado a year ago is open again.
The St. Louis airport's C Concourse reopened Monday following extensive renovations.
The EF4 twister last April blew out scores of windows and caused millions of dollars of damage to the airport, mostly to the C Concourse. No one was killed, but in addition to the airport damage, hundreds of homes nearby were damaged or destroyed.
Lambert officials say the repairs coincided with a planned major renovation. All told, nearly $15 million was spent on the project.
