Jays hosting Washington for Homecoming

If there was ever a time for the Jefferson City football team to be distracted, this would be the week.

It's Homecoming and the third-ranked Jays (5-0) are playing Washington, a team they beat 41-3 last season. And the biggest elephant in the room might be the battle with top-ranked Rockhurst, which looms next Friday.

But Jays head coach Ted LePage isn't worried about the distractions that go along with Homecoming, or that his team might look ahead to next week. He said his team is focused only on beating Washington on Friday night.
