Jays schedule events for homecoming

The theme for Jefferson City High School's 2011 homecoming week is "Jays Get Real with Reality TV."

At school, daily themes for students include Made Monday, where they dress as their dream career; Undercover Tuesday, where they may wear hats and sunglasses; What Not to Wear Wednesday encouraging mismatched clothing or pajamas; Survivor Thursday for tropical attire; and Jay Day Friday to fill the halls with red and black.

A PowderPuff game will be played at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Adkins Stadium, where the Homecoming king and his court will be presented at half time.

The bonfire will begin at 8:15 p.m. on the practice field.

The homecoming parade will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday downtown, with the pep rally following about 7:30 p.m. on the north side of the Capitol.

The queen and her court will be presented at the school assembly at 1:15 p.m. Friday. Then the football game versus the Washington Blue Jays will begin at 7 p.m.

The homecoming dance will be from 8-11 p.m. Saturday at Fleming Fieldhouse.
