Man faces charges after accident

A Gravois Mills man is facing criminal charges in connection with a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday night in Morgan County.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, George Cochran, 44, was arrested for DWI, careless and imprudent driving, and second-degree felony assault.

The accident occurred at 6:35 p.m. on Route P, just east of Old Missouri 8.

Cochran went off the road and struck a tree.

Neither Cochran nor his passenger, Candelaria Foster, 31, Gravois Mills, were wearing seat belts, and both suffered serious injuries.

A Vienna man was treated for moderate injuries after a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Osage County.

Patrol reports show Jeffrey Morris, 19, crossed the center line of U.S. 63, just south of County Road 609, around 3:49 p.m.

He struck a vehicle driven by Adam Bauer, 24, Jefferson City, nearly head on.

Bauer was not hurt.

Both men were wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred.
