We are cooks at St. Peter School and would like to respond to the recent letter about the local school lunch programs.
At St. Peter we bake several times a month delicious, madefrom-scratch items. Our homemade cinnamon rolls are considered some of the best in the area. We also make homemade soups, chili, spaghetti, chicken and noodles, etc. A salad bar with fresh vegetables and fruits are offered daily.
We think all local public and private school lunch programs try to do their very best with the budget they have to provide the children with a healthy and nutritious lunch.
