Six turnovers plague Helias in football loss

ST. LOUIS - It's a hard and fast rule - as the number of turnovers go up, the chances of winning go down.

The Helias Crusaders proved that rule Saturday afternoon, turning the ball over six times in a 32-20 loss to the MICDS Rams in a battle of Class 4 state-ranked teams.

"You won't win many football games when you don't give yourself a shot at winning," Helias coach Phil Pitts said. "When you turn the ball over against good football teams, more often than not, you're going to get beat."
