The Cole County Commission on Monday approved the second phase of a joint project with Jefferson City on East McCarty Street.
At their meeting Monday, commissioners accepted a bid from Stockman Construction for the work. Stockman came in as the low bid on the project at $3.489 million, which was $300,000 below the engineers' estimate.
Jefferson City Engineer Matt Morasch said the work starts at Eastland Drive and goes to where St. Louis Road connects to East McCarty on the east end of that street.
