Mo. maker of truck bed covers to expand, add jobs

ROGERSVILLE, Mo. (AP) - A southwest Missouri company that makes truck bed covers and accessories is planning a $5.3 million expansion.

The company, Undercover Inc., plans to add 70,000 square feet and hire 30 more employees at its plant in Rogersville. That's a 30 percent increase in the company's workforce.

Company officials say the expansion will be used to apply an automotive finish to the truck bed covers. Now, the covers are available only in black. The new painting facility will allow Undercover to match the covers to a truck's color and finish.

Bill Reminder is the CEO of Undercover's parent company. Reminder says Undercover was founded in Rogersville, and the company was committed to adding jobs at the facility about 15 miles east of Springfield.
