Angela Hayes (Mena Suvari), who's being acutely observed by Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey), appears nude in several scenes in 1999's American Beauty, but that's not the only thing that makes it worthwhile.

Abraham Hoose, 4, stood on his dad's shoulders, waving American flags in both hands toward the emergency responders, service men and others in Jefferson City's Patriots Day Parade.

The Sunday event was one of several local remembrances marking the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks that caused 2,977 deaths.

Other events featured a walk and a display at Capital Mall featuring the names of the 343 firefighters who died during Sept. 11 rescue attempts.
