Families celebrate Halloween without gore, scariness

Not so spooky

October 30th, 2011 in News

Wyatt Prosch, 7, carves pumpkins with his cousin, Anna Stubinger, after spending the afternoon filling treat bags to hand out at their church's trunk-or-treat.

Two Mid-Missouri families - the Bone family and the Prosch family - make Halloween fun without the ghouls, goblins and candy overload.

Keith and Kris Bone are no strangers to Halloween fun. The day Kris found out she was pregnant with their first child was around Halloween, so she was dressed for a work function in head-to-toe Elvis Presley garb.

Dressing up has always made the family's Halloween festive, but they'll leave the scary, ghoulish ghosts on store shelves.
