Ed Neeley poses with his 1969 Chevy Camaro. It was his first car, which he kept until it was stolen in 1995. He recently stumbled across his prized sports car when he found it for sale online, and won a battle to get it back.

Ed Neeley bought his first car on April 12, 1982, and even then the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z28 was a classic.

It wasn't in great shape, but Neeley was determined to get it there. When he got his paycheck every two weeks, he'd buy a new car part.

By the late '80s, Neeley had moved to Las Vegas, and in 1995, on April Fool's Day, his car disappeared from a friend's auto shop where they had just painted the car black.

When he came to the realization that his friends weren't pranking him, he reported the car stolen. But his car didn't turn up until years later, and he eventually gave up on his longtime passion of classic cars.
