LU, JC police breakup disturbances on, off campus after concert

Officers with the Lincoln University Police Department and Jefferson City Police Department were called to handle large disturbances late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Authorities reported some fights occurred on campus after a concert by a rapper named Bonecrusher.

Jefferson City police assisted LU police to regain order outside of the Scruggs University Center.

LU police reports indicated one person was arrested and could face a peace disturbance charge.

The investigation into that incident is continuing.

JCPD officers were also called to a large gathering of people in the 1500 block of Edmonds Street around 3:30 a.m.

Officers broke up several shouting and pushing matches and moved everyone on their way. No arrests were reported from that incident.
