HILLSBORO, Mo. (AP) - January sentencing is scheduled for a St. Louis-area man who admits attacking his parents with a pipe and knife during a dispute over his jobless status.
KSDK-TV reports that 33-year-old John Bosler of Hillsboro pleaded guilty in Jefferson County to several assault charges related to the Feb. 22 attack.
Authorities say Bosler was arguing with his 69-year-old father over Bosler's unemployment status when Bosler repeatedly hit his dad on the head and upper body with a metal pipe.
Bosler then stabbed his father in the back and hand with a butcher knife Bosler used to cut his 56-year-old mother's hand.
