Woman rescued after bridge jump

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) - A woman is hospitalized after being rescued after jumping from the Highway 364 bridge over the Missouri River near St. Charles.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/orE1B9 ) reports that firefighters and police rescued the woman Sunday. Her name and condition were not released.

Authorities say the woman parked her car on the westbound lanes of the bridge about 3 p.m., got out and jumped. She landed on a beam about 100 feet above the river. Three police officers crawled down and rescued her.
