Ms Torres, I read with interest your letter in the Oct. 13 edition about how bad a place Jefferson City is to live. It's too bad you feel that way, but I must say I agree with one thing you wrote. I, too, am happy you no longer live here.
The nice people of Jefferson City shouldn't have to put up with a hateful snob such as yourself. Jefferson City deserves better than someone such as you living here. Just because all the people you knew were on welfare (birds of a feather?) doesn't mean everyone is.
So, please, stay where you are, and have your family come visit you so you don't have to lower yourself by coming to Jefferson City.
