Your Opinion: Community called 'boring,' 'worthless'

Dear Editor:

I am a young adult that was born and raised here in Jefferson City. I recently moved out of this boring, lifeless town to a major metro city.

I am so happy I moved away because the big city I live in now has night clubs and entertainment, lots of great shopping, good quality restaurants, and fun things to do like amusement parks and going to the beach. It's sad and pathetic that Jefferson City has no night clubs, hole in the wall redneck bars, horrible ghetto mall and boring restaurants. It's also pathetic that the Chamber of Commerce has to pay money to recruit young adults to live here in this boring town.

Jefferson City is only good for old people and people who have young kids to raise, otherwise it is worthless to even waste your time being here.

Also, most people I grew up with have also moved away and the few young adults that do live here are the ones that had kids way too young and are on welfare.

No wonder the economy in Jefferson City is suffering because the young adults that live here are living paycheck to paycheck or they are on welfare demanding a handout. The ignorant local politicians are now crying for people like me to come back and live here and I can guarantee you I will never want to live in Jefferson City ever again.

I will only visit my family once in awhile and sorry Jefferson City but you won't get my money or support because you're a terrible place to live and are worthless.

Keeping it real, just saying.
